Information on the Performance Act:

‘Richard Filby… Always dressed to impress in a three-piece suit and hat no matter the occasion, even under the harsh sun of his homeland, Australia. A 5 minute to 1-hour comedy, fire & knife juggling, magic and Rola Bola show by a world-renowned juggler.’

My show is a death-defying journey from start to finish, with lots of humour and audience participation along the way. I even let the audience choose the soundtrack for an added level of engagement. I juggle swords, fire, cigar boxes, 7 balls and anything else I can get my hands on. With the world’s “wobbliest table”, I finish the performance by stacking cigar boxes and extra layers on to my Rola Bola and climbing from the first layer to top – all while in the balance. As if that wasn’t enough, I juggle knives and fire on top! An original and breath-taking stunt that is unmatched on the street.

I have a wide variety of skills and can also do roving entertainment to bring a little bit of colour and fun to any event. My show is suitable inside or outside, on a stage or on the street. I always (unless discussed beforehand) come with my own sound system large enough to perform to a full-sized crowd and can be trusted to work without assistance or supervision.

A bright blue suit, balls, knives, fire. A trilby Hat. Yes, it’s Richard Filby! One of the most lively and entertaining jugglers of the modern era. With his gyroscopic balance abilities and high skill juggling, it’s only a bonus that he is funny and charming as on top of all of that. The Richard Filby Spectacular is unlike any show you’ve ever seen before. You will be bedazzled, immersed and thrilled during what feels like a casual conversation between one man and his audience. 

Stage Plot & Technical Info:

Stage or Ground Show: A flat surface is ideal but not necessary. Cobblestones and Grass are fine. 

My bare minimum performance space is 3m x 3m x 3m. I can work in a smaller space but would have to forfeit some of my tricks and stunts. Ideally, I would like a few extra meters in each dimension. 

I always bring my own self-powered sound system and can work with total self-sufficiency.

I’m willing to tailor my costume and various tricks to perform as roving entertainment for any event.
